- QRify has no account, no login and no servers of its own.
- QR codes you create or scan are processed on your device. We never receive them.
- Your history and saved codes stay on your device. Wi-Fi passwords are never stored.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers. QRify Pro removes ads.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
1. Who we are
QRify is developed and published by abqamar (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the QRify app handles and the choices you have. Contact details are in section 13.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or the content of any QR code you generate or scan. We operate no backend that receives such data. We do not use analytics, advertising-attribution or crash-reporting SDKs of our own.
3. Information stored on your device
To provide the app’s features, QRify stores the following locally on your device only:
- History of codes you generated, exported, or chose to save from a scan (content, type, date, colors, favorite status).
- Saved QR codes, including the image files you chose to save in the app.
- Settings such as theme, font size, language, scanner options, and a cached flag showing whether QRify Pro is active.
Wi-Fi passwords are never written to history or saved codes. When a Wi-Fi code contains a password, only the network name and settings are kept. This data is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can remove it at any time: delete single items, use Settings → Clear history, remove saved codes, or uninstall the app (which deletes the app’s data).
4. Permissions and device features
| Permission / feature | Why QRify uses it |
|---|---|
| Camera | Only while the Scan screen is open, to detect codes. Camera images are analyzed on your device in real time and are not recorded, stored or uploaded. |
| Photos / files | Only when you choose an image to scan or a logo (through the system picker), and when you choose to save or share an exported QR image. QRify does not request broad storage access. |
| Internet / network state | Only for advertising (free version), Google Play purchases, and opening links you choose to open. All core features work offline. |
| Advertising ID | Declared because the Google Mobile Ads SDK may use it in the free version (see section 6). |
| Google Play Billing | To process the optional QRify Pro purchase (see section 7). |
5. Scanned content is untrusted
QRify never opens a link, dials a number, composes a message or email, opens a map, or changes network settings automatically. Each action requires your explicit confirmation, and web links are limited to http and https with the destination domain shown first. For Wi-Fi codes, QRify only opens your device’s Wi-Fi settings; you choose whether to connect. When you open a link, it opens in another app (such as your browser), which has its own privacy practices.
6. Advertising (free version)
The free version of QRify displays ads through Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as your device’s Advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction and diagnostic data. This happens between your device and Google; we do not receive or control this data, and QRify never sends the content of your codes to advertisers.
- Consent: Where required (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), QRify shows Google’s consent form before requesting ads. In some regions you may also see privacy choices for US state laws. You can review your choices later in Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy options when available.
- Android settings: You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- No ads where it matters: Ads are never shown while scanning, generating or exporting a code.
- Remove ads: Purchasing QRify Pro removes ads.

7. Purchases (QRify Pro)
The optional one-time QRify Pro purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. The app receives a purchase status from Google Play so it can unlock Pro features, and keeps a local cached flag on your device. Use Restore purchases to re-activate Pro on a new device with the same Google account. Refunds are handled under Google Play’s policies.
8. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share the content of your codes with anyone. The only third parties that process data in connection with the app are Google (advertising through AdMob in the free version, and Google Play for purchases and app distribution), as described above. When you use the system share sheet, the image or text you share goes to the app or person you pick.
9. Children
QRify is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us (section 13) and we will help.
10. Security
Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by your device’s own security (screen lock, encryption). We limit permissions to what the features need and treat all scanned content as untrusted. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we design QRify to hold as little data as possible.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of personal data. Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete; you control the data in the app directly (section 3). Data processed by Google for advertising is controlled through the consent form, Ad privacy options, your device’s ads settings, and your Google account. You can also contact us with any privacy request.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if we add features or change SDKs. The “Last updated” date above will change, and we will describe material changes in the app’s release notes or on this page.
